In addition (and alongside) our traditional summer day camp since 2013, we proudly offer a separate, academic-based program! Our Got Game Academy is the perfect program for children who need a little extra help, who want to get ahead, or who just can’t stand to not learn while school is out all summer! We are competitive in our approach to academics and want your students to get ahead. We are very proud to have a team of some of the most talented Elementary and Middle School teachers in LA! Campers have options to join the academy in the morning AND camp in the afternoon!
We partner with teachers in the community who create fun, dynamic and engaging lessons. Students are grouped according to age and placed in small classes with a lot of personal attention. The Got Game Academy focuses on reading comprehension, writing, and mathematics in a classroom setting Mon-Thurs until 12:30pm. Teacher assistants work alongside our talented staff to provide an optimal environment where students learn AND have fun. The Academy is a great way for students to engage in purposeful projects and hands-on learning to help achieve academic success.
Summer Schedule
Our Summer Academy 2024 operates in tandem with the traditional day camp Monday thru Thursday, on the same camp grounds. Academy Hours are 9:30am-12:30pm. Families may also add camp in the PM hours, and/or Friday to each weekly sign up!
Our 2024 Summer Academy program runs on the same schedule as our general day camp Monday thru Thursday only, until 12:30pm. Extended care options from 8:00am-5:00pm are available everyday.
Many Academy students also take advantage of our Summer Camp in the afternoons and participate in BOTH programs. These campers get to work on their academics in the mornings until 12:30pm in a classroom setting, then take part in lunch time and all of the afternoon fun and action at summer camp; the best of both worlds!
